I am proud to be the first 2010 Congressional candidate challenging a sitting incumbent to receive the endorsement of the Sierra Club, one of the oldest, largest, and most influential grassroots environmental organizations in the United States. It is an honor to have my work on behalf of the environment recognized by this prestigious organization. And when you consider Mr. Calvert's record, the choice is clear. My opponent has supported offshore oil drilling near Orange County beaches and opposed funding to fight wildfires. I will work to protect California’s pristine coastline by opposing any offshore drilling and provide local officials with the resources needed to prevent and stop wildfires. Bill Hedrick has spent his entire adult life teaching our children, advocating for teachers, and managing our schools. For over twenty years, he's served our community on the Corona-Norco school board. He and Beth have raised five children in our community - including two who have served in Iraq.
